What we offer
Solterra specializes in contaminated soil management and operates fully licensed, environmentally beneficial technical disposal facilities. These facilities are permitted to handle lightly contaminated soils, falling within the “A-B” contaminant criteria. Our facilities always feature an environmental rehabilitation element to ensure that all materials are beneficially reused in assistance with the restoration of the sites on which we operate.
Additionally, we offer a full suite of brokerage services for our clientele for all levels of contaminated soils which we do not accept at our in-house facilities. This furthers our commitment to unparalleled customer service.

Spanning over four million square feet, Solterra’s Mascouche facility has paved the way for restoration projects throughout the province of Quebec. Fully permitted by the MELCCFP to receive and re-valorize lightly contaminated soils within the “A-B” range, Solterra is successfully rehabilitating a previously-unauthorized waste disposal site and restoring the land by creating greenspace. Over the course of this project, more than 70 thousand new trees will be planted, introducing new life to the site and surrounding areas.

FAQ
At Solterra, there is no additional charge (redevances) to pay on top of the cost of the disposal since we carry out a reclamation of soils that are smaller than B.
Since January 2024, it is mandatory to use Traces Québec to trace your contaminated soil above the A criteria. Any project of over 200tm is required to use an attestator and to track every single truck on GPS by using the mobile app. Any truck presenting itself at our scale for a project for soil above A criteria and without a ‘Bordereau Traces Québec En Route’, will be refused and set aside. For any assistance in creating your Traces Québec profile and projects, please contact our Director of Environmental Compliance and Logistics, Laurence Faucher.

Before disposing of your soil at Solterra, it is important to contact our Director of Sales and Business Development, Olivia D’Errico (oderrico@solterra.ca), to provide her with the necessary information for your quote request. A quote or proposal will then be sent to you. In the event that you decide to proceed with Solterra for your disposal, it is very important to return the required documents signed and duly completed in order to receive your disposal authorization number to use on your manifests and when you have questions about your project. It is also very important to make any Traces Québec project invitation BEFORE the first day of disposal, otherwise your trucks will be refused and put aside. We operate with a reservation system, so it is required to reserve with Laurence Faucher (lfaucher@solterra.ca) the day before each disposal in order to guarantee availability. Finally, we still use paper manifests despite the existence of Traces Québec, so any truck presenting itself without a manifest or with a poorly completed manifest, will be refused and set aside. For any questions, please contact us!
